Premiere: REAL - the largest network - is now in Ukraine!
REAL, the network of supermarkets is moving shopping equipment to the Riviera Shopping City mall, Odessa.
The REAL network of supermarkets - key sub-division of the leading shopping corporation in Europe affiliated to METRO group of companies - makes its appearance on the Ukrainian market. It was not long ago that this large network operator functioning in the format "hypermarket - all purchases under one roof" solidly occupied its niche in Russian economics, which is confirmed by twelve shopping objects functioning in various places of Russian Federation. The total number of hypermarkets in the REAL network situated in Germany, Holland, Romania, Turkey and Russia amounts today to 430 commercial units, each subordinated to the marketing police of the Concern - vast shopping spaces and impressive assortment of goods.
Within the frames of economic expansion in Eastern Europe REAL shall act as the main anchor lessee of the Riviera Shopping City, ambitious shopping-entertainment complex situated in the eastern part of Odessa on the site with the total area of 21 ha. The debut of the German concern known for its unsurpassed assortment of goods and moderate prices on Ukrainian market shall take place in July 2009, and already on 12 May shopping equipment shall be moved to the pavilions of the largest shopping complex in the south of Ukraine built by the MEGALINE Concern, the leading developer of the region.
The MEGALINE Concern - general contractor of the Riviera Shopping City - has again demonstrated its high professional qualities and the ability to deal with large scale tasks for constructing commercial objects of the "Mall" format precisely within established terms.
Total area occupied by REAL hypermarket shall make about 12 500 sq. m., which corresponds to the standards of this giant that rents at least 7,5 thousand sq. m. as a rule in large shopping complexes. This scale allows comfortable placing of shelves for fresh products, own mini-bakery, special section for fresh and frozen sea foods, refrigerating equipment for meat and vegetables.
It is planned to divide the sales area traditionally into three sections: FRESHFOOD presented by delicacy cheeses, fresh fish in assortment, sea foods, meat, fruits, vegetables and deep-frozen products (more than 360 items). DRY FOOD section shall include baby food, juices, waters, beer, sweets and baked goods - about 600 items al in all.
Nonfoods section presents sports outfit, toys, car accessories, high quality textile articles for the whole family, home furnishing stores, etc. The whole range of goods in the REAL hypermarket shall comprise about 2000 items of highest quality goods.
In the opinion of specialists and the management of METRO Group, the REAL network operator has selected optimal variant for marking his presence in the commercial space of Ukraine from the point of view of strategic police of continuous expansion. Riviera Shopping City is not only the largest complex in the south of the country but also one of the most successful and prospective projects realized in the region during 30 years. Convenient location near the national motorway Odessa - Nikolayev, developed infrastructure of shopping galleries and high level of construction works guarantee successful commercial activity of all anchor lessees, one of them being REAL hypermarket. For the MEGALINE Construction Concern that has realized the Riviera Shopping and Entertainment Complex project the availability of a commercial agent of such level is another evidence of its reputation as a successful developer of a European level possessing all required potential for the promotion in international market of commercial realty.
