On February 27 the grand opening of the third in Ukraine supermarket of construction materials OBI will take place in Odessa, at Staronikolayevskoye shosse. The supermarket is situated near the Riviera Shopping City.

OBI is the European leader of DIY format (also D.I.Y.) - English abbreviation of "Do It Yourself". It denotes independent household work - repair of electrical equipment, household appliances, production of furniture etc.)

Dieter Messner, managing director of OBI in European region assured: " We have great plans concerning work in Ukraine. OBI plans to become the leading player at DIY segment of the Ukrainian market".

The first OBI shop was opened more than 30 years ago in the shopping center Alstertal in Humburg. The founders of the network - Dr. Emil Lux and Manfred Maus developed the absolutely new business model that enjoyed great success in the USA and Western Europe. As a result the supermarket, which is the 518th OBI and the first one in Ukraine, was opened in October 2008 in Kharkov. Further the supermarket was opened in Mariupol.

And finally the construction of OBI supermarket in Odessa with total space of 16,5000 m2 was finished on December 15! Megaline realized construction of the building at the earliest possible date - 10 calendar months.

To the great joy of Odessa citizens at the supermarket they can buy all the possible materials and instruments for construction, home and garden improvement. The department "Garden paradise" (Sadovyy ray) will be includeв to the structure of the supermarket to represent a wide assortment of plants, seedlings, picturesque elements of landscaping as well as tools and equipment.

The administration of Kominternovskiy district, the leaders of Odessa regional state administration, leaders of the companies "New business views", "MEGALINE", "Bovis Land Lease" and representatives of mass media will participate in opening of the supermarket.
