The “Ulysses” Hotel

ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTIONS

The Hotel - the main building - with the space of 431,6 sq. m. and the Outhouse with the space of 121,84 sq. m. are situated on the lot of land.
The construction arrangement of the Hotel being projected - monolith reinforced concrete frame with wall filling of foam concrete. The spatial rigidity is ensured with discs of monolith ribbed floors at the level of flights, as well as with a monolith slab at the level of foundation.
The constructive arrangement of the Outhouse being projected - partial frame with monolith floors supported both by the frame crossbars and by longitudinal walls. The spatial rigidity of the building is ensured with discs of monolith floors on metal beams at the level of flights and a monolith slab at the level of the foundation bed.

Foundations

The arrangement of continuous slab foundation of strong reinforced concrete is planned under the whole spot of the building. The slab foundation is 300 mm thick and is supported on posts through beams, 600 mm high. The slab has double reinforcement. A sand pad, 700 mm thick, is planned under the foundation slab.
The walls of the basement part of the hotel building are monolith reinforced concrete of concrete class B15, 400 mm thick. Walls of the 1st and 2nd floors are made of foam concrete blocks with the weight density of 800 kg/m2 and the thickness of 400 mm. Floors are ribbed monolith reinforced concrete. The plate is supported by secondary beams (300 mm high), which are in their turn supported by the main beams (520 mm high). The main beams are supported by the frame posts - monolith reinforced columns 400 x 400 mm. Floor elements are made of concrete class B25, frame posts - of concrete class B20 (fire resistance - II degree).
Stairs are monolith reinforced concrete (concrete c lass B20).
Partitions are planned of clay bricks mark 50 on mortar mark 25, 120 mm thick. Bulkheads - of monolith reinforced concrete (concrete class B20) window blocks - metal-plastic with double glass packs made to order, door blocks - made to order. Flat roof covered with rolled material. In the Outhouse the walls of the basement part are planned of monolith reinforced concrete (concrete class B15), 400 mm thick. External and internal walls are made of foam concrete blocks with the weight density of 1200 kg/m2, 400 mm thick. Floors are planned of monolith reinforced concrete on rolled metal beams. The beams are supported by external carrying walls and partially by reinforced concrete columns 400 x 400 mm. Concrete class of floor elements - B25, posts - B20 (fire resistance - II degree).
